• Invented a secondary flame scanner for DLN1 turbines that fixes a line-of-sight problem. BFI Automation manufactures it and the units are in service on running turbines. Presented the design at the NAES O&M Conference, March 2026.
• Designed an external lube oil cooling unit, installed on all six units, that dropped oil temperatures 20 to 25°F on a 90°F day.
• Wrote the plant's ERCOT winterization procedure in 2021 after Winter Storm Uri. The plant has run through every winter event since on that procedure. Managed the MOC to convert purge valve actuators from pneumatic to electric, which have maintained 100% reliability for all operations since.
• Hold the plant's NERC compliance posture across all applicable standards, keeping programs, documentation, and evidence audit-ready. Run the transformer oil analysis program, trending dissolved gas results to catch developing faults before they force an outage.
• Program and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC-5 turbine controls and SAGE 3030 SCADA/RTU telemetry. Sit in on daily financial bidding calls with the owner's energy finance team.
